As the Executive Director of Golden Age Home, Nicole Burnett has been a beacon of compassionate leadership since assuming her role in September 2010. Prior to her current position, she dedicated four years to the home as Personal Care Manager, laying the groundwork for her deep understanding of the needs within elderly care. Under her stewardship, Golden Age Home has seen remarkable transformations, including financial recovery, strategic advancements, effective navigation through the challenges of COVID-19, and the celebration of the home's 60th anniversary. Nicole is currently steering the organization towards an exciting future with plans for a new facility.
Nicole's life in Lockhart, shared with her husband Warren and two actively involved children, is a testament to their commitment to their community. This year, they mark two decades of marriage, all spent in the heart of Lockhart where they are deeply embedded in community service. Nicole's passion extends beyond her professional life into various community roles, from enriching local education initiatives with the Lockhart Education Foundation to leading significant fundraising efforts as the Chairperson of the Kiwanis club event, which has substantially benefited local students.
Her artistic and spiritual engagements are just as integral to her identity. A member of the Singing Women of Central Texas, Nicole finds joy in touching lives through music. At First Lockhart Baptist Church, she contributes her talents and leadership in various capacities, including teaching and choir participation, underscoring her commitment to faith and community service.
Nicole's academic and professional credentials, including a Bachelor of Business Administration, Cum Laude, from Wayland Baptist University, Certified Assisted Living Manager designation, and her active membership in TORCH, highlight her dedication to excellence in her field. Nicole Burnett's multifaceted life and career reflect her profound dedication to Golden Age Home, its residents, and the broader Lockhart community, showcasing a leader who truly leads by example.
