Golden Age Home board of directors, Member, Ad Hoc Nominating Committee

Hello, I'm Jane Brown, and I have had the pleasure of serving on the Board of Directors at Golden Age Home Assisted Living since 2023. Currently, I am an active member of the nominating committee, where I work to ensure that we have the right leadership to guide GAH into the future.

My journey with Golden Age Home is deeply personal, having had family members live here for many years. This connection inspired me to join the board with the goal of maintaining and enhancing the quality of life for our senior residents. My experience so far has been rewarding, and I look forward to contributing even more.

One of the most fulfilling aspects of being a board member is making decisions that positively impact the lives of our senior citizens. Living in Caldwell County allows me to stay attuned to the community's needs, which directly informs my contributions to GAH.

My faith plays a significant role in my service here. As a member of First Methodist Lockhart, the church that founded GAH, I have always had a strong passion for its success. My commitment to our mission is deeply rooted in my spiritual life.

Outside of my responsibilities at GAH, I serve as the organist for First Methodist Lockhart and participate in various church roles. I am also involved with the Irving Club, Beta Sigma Phi, and several bridge groups, and I thoroughly enjoy spending time with my grandchildren.

Networking has been a valuable tool in my role. For example, I facilitated a discussion between Nicole and our church women's group about the future plans for GAH, which helped raise awareness and support within the community.

I believe that commitment, diligence, and passion are crucial skills for the success of any non-profit organization. By embodying these qualities, we can continue to provide exceptional care for our residents.
