Our Mission: Golden Age Home Assisted Living in Lockhart, TX, is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing compassionate, faith-based care in a supportive community setting. Our mission is to create a nurturing environment for seniors, offering personalized assisted living services that combine medical care, balanced nutrition, and engaging activities—all within a Christian framework and at an affordable rate. Since 1960, we have committed to serving our community with dignity, respect, and holistic care, positioning us as the premier choice for Senior Living in Central Texas

Responsibilities:

·       Develop and oversee the organization's mission, vision, and values.

·       Set strategic goals and plan for the organization.

·       Ensure the organization's financial stability.

·       Provide guidance and support to the Executive Director.

·       Represent the organization to the public.

Qualifications:

·       Support the mission of the Golden Age Home.

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·       Ability to think strategically.

·       Commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Activities:

·       Attends board meetings and related meetings.

·       Actively participates in board work, completes assignments on time and stays informed about organizational matters.

·       Builds a cohesive working relationship with other board members, participates in evaluation and planning efforts, participates in Golden Age Home activities, and contributes to fundraising.

Additional Information: This is a volunteer position. The Board of Directors meets monthly for approximately two hours. Board members are expected to serve a three-year term.
