Laura C. Cline

Golden Age Home board of directors, Member

Hello, I'm Laura C. Cline, and I have had the honor of serving on the Board of Directors at Golden Age Home Assisted Living since 2022. I am a member of the Finance Committee, where I leverage my 50+ years of experience as a CPA in private practice to provide valuable insights and solutions to financial matters. My diverse background and knowledge in finance and accounting, along with my experience on other boards, such as a municipal utility district, equip me well for this role.

I was raised to believe in the importance of helping others, regardless of your own circumstances. Whether working with Reading is Fundamental or the local theatre group, I have always felt that the gift of time and knowledge far outweighs monetary contributions. Beginning in 2020, my life underwent significant changes with retirement, health challenges, and the loss of a son. In 2022, a friend on the GAH board suggested that I join, believing that it would provide me with an outlet and that my financial expertise would benefit the organization.

Living in Lockhart, Texas, I am deeply involved in our community. I am a proud member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and actively participate in Reading is Fundamental of Lockhart, an organization dedicated to promoting literacy. Additionally, I serve as the Chair of the City of Lockhart Zoning Board of Adjustment, contributing to the orderly development and planning of our city.

The most rewarding aspect of my role at Golden Age Home is knowing that our efforts directly benefit the lives of our residents, ensuring they receive the care and support they deserve. I am passionate about continuing this work and look forward to contributing further to the success and growth of Golden Age Home. In my personal time, I enjoy reading and traveling, which help me stay refreshed and inspired.

If you share our commitment to compassionate care and want to make a meaningful impact, we would love to have you join our board. Your unique skills and dedication can help us continue to enrich the lives of seniors in our community. Together, we can make a lasting difference.
